About a week ago, I was sitting on my couch, sipping wine and I turned to my husband and told him I had an idea. I told him how I wanted to offer my photography services to our neighborhood. Just a quick session in front of their homes from 6 feet away. It would be something to do, a reason to shower, put on makeup. Little did I know, this project was already in the works. The Front Steps Project was started by a Photographer named Cara Soulia from Needham, Massachusetts. My friend sent me a link the next day and told me I should do this in our neighborhood. So I ran with it. I could not believe the response. I am working with 31 families and continuing to get more interest.
It's hard to put into words how incredible this experience was for me. I met so many amazing families and adorable pets! I could have spent hours talking to each family. It was so nice to be out and about getting to know my neighbors. I hope people can look back at these photos and remember this crazy time we are going through. We are all in this together.
Thank you to the Highlands neighborhood for welcoming me to your front porch!
